Make the most out of your Microsoft subscription to work collaboratively and efficiently.
M365 is a bundle - a collection of all the Microsoft products that you use on a daily basis (previously known as Office 365) and a few others that Microsoft hopes you will start to use and learn to love (like Viva).
It’s made up of core Microsoft applications such as:
Use OneDrive for secure cloud storage and free up some space.
If you need a full electronic document management system (EDMS) with secure file sharing, SharePoint is the answer.
Pre-designed PowerApps solution to replace accident books, timesheets, job sheets, and site inspections.
Replace intranet with Yammer and you’ve got an enterprise social network stream your staff will love.
For a simple to-do list, use Microsoft To-Do. To manage your work and your team’s work, Planner is essential.
Use StaffHub to allocate shifts then put the power in the hands of your workers.
Use Stream as your straightforward platform to deliver content that matters to your employees.
Whether you are an organised note-taker or not, OneNote works with you. You can type out notes or write freestyle and add images.
M365 is like oxygen - it lets your organisation breathe. It is an important part of your IT landscape - but only a part. You need to work with a Partner who can support your wider estate - give you one throat to choke.
A good sign of a capable partner is to see what Microsoft designations they have; these are proof of the expertise and capabilities of working with Microsoft technologies. There are seven in total.
A business can tell you they’re great, but proof is what you should be asking for. You can find out exactly how other customers feel by asking every prospective partner what their NPS score is.
NPS can range from as low as –100 to as high as 100. The benchmark for UK IT service providers is 62.
If they don't measure NPS or are nowhere near the benchmark, look elsewhere.
M365 is priced on a consumption model, you pay for the capacity you think you are going to use.
Users often want access to functionality that they don’t really need, and then many don’t use it to its full potential. While it’s smart to allow a margin of error, the unused capacity is expensive. Your partner should be advising you to minimise this excess capacity. Many don’t bother because they are making a margin on the excess costs you incur.

M365 isn't cheap. It's only great value if your people know how to use all its capabilities. M365 has a whole deck of tools to enhance daily operations, but they will only be useful if your people are trained to use them. It’s up to your prospective Microsoft Partner to provide that training. Go ask them about their training delivery.
Together with Azure, M365 is the other key component of our CloudCare proposition. We're here to help you make the most of the subscription services you consume from Microsoft.
As part of our offerings, we give our clients the opportunity to expand their technological knowledge with TSG Academy.
