Established over 25 years ago, Magus Wealth, a forward-thinking chartered financial services company, is focussed on simplifying the complicated world of financial planning from different backgrounds with various financial goals and challenges.

The Challenge

As a financial company entrusted with a wealth of sensitive data, Magus Wealth have always prioritised security, but wanted to ensure it was robust as possible. They also wanted to enhance employee productivity, by leveraging the Microsoft technologies already in use. This involved a strategic shift from their hosted datacentre and upgrading to Office 365 (O365) to take advantage of the core Microsoft 365 components for governed and published documents.

Their current provider couldn’t accommodate this move to the cloud, or offer the same support TSG could provide as a managed service provider.

The decision to partner with TSG was driven by TSG’s commitment to understanding Magus Wealth’s unique needs and explaining solutions in easy-to-understand language. The Solution

TSG initiated the project with an in-depth discovery stage, delving into Magus Wealth’s existing technical landscape. This process required navigating potentially challenging conversations with the existing provider and throughout this stage Magus Wealth felt supported and guided.

Once a clear understanding of the existing infrastructure was established, a comprehensive plan for transitioning to a modern, cloud-based workspace powered by Microsoft was outlined. A Project Manager, and a Technical Architect were assigned to ensure the project’s success. Their close collaboration with the Magus Wealth team facilitated a smooth transition.

Results and Outcomes

In the face of a complex and high-risk project, TSG demonstrated its commitment to Magus Wealth by understanding their concerns and maintaining open and transparent communication. The result? With a Managed Services Contract, Magus Wealth achieved a fully cloud-based infrastructure that includes strong support capabilities. The contract ensures continuous engagement and a partnership approach with Magus Wealth, as well as regular reviews for improving the services delivered. This way, Magus Wealth can enjoy a state-of-the-art workspace.

After productive training workshops on optimising O365 tools and enhancing cyber security, Magus Wealth has an efficient and time saving way of working in place and is eager to collaborate with their dedicated TSG Client Success Manager (CSM) on a strategic roadmap. This partnership is set to continue to flourish and drive future IT advancements.
