We all watch sci-fi films and marvel at the hi-tech gadgets, vehicles and weaponry. We watch them and think to ourselves, ‘I wish that were real’, or ‘They should definitely make one of those; I’d buy it’. Most sci-fi films seem to be set in the future; so the explanation as to how the technology works is avoided by the assumption that technology will be very advanced by the year 2300… But what if we’re already  here?
