TSG is celebrating a great start to 2016 by strengthening their position as IT solutions specialists with yet another “best in class” recognition from global technology giant Microsoft.
As a strategic member of the Microsoft Partner Network TSG has been awarded a seventh Gold Status Competency to add to their already impressive haul of six making them very much the envy of their competitors. Holding these competencies re-affirm to customers that TSG is the expert in Microsoft, giving it the competitive edge within the IT industry and making it one of the most decorated technology experts in the UK.
The competencies are awarded by Microsoft to partners who have the proven skills and experience in that area to set them apart from the competition. Gold Status demonstrates “Best in Class” capability within that given Microsoft solution area. TSG’s seventh gold competency has been awarded in the “Cloud Productivity” area adding a second cloud specific solution to their credibility.
TSG’s Chief Executive David Stonehouse added “Picking up our 7th Gold Status Competency, whilst actively retaining the other six, demonstrates how we are trusted, expert advisors for our key strategic partners.
“A lot of our customers rely heavily on Microsoft’s product stack. Many businesses may deal with individual Microsoft specialists for different products be it Dynamics NAV, Dynamics CRM or Office 365, for example.
“Achieving all these Gold Status competencies shows how we are trusted experts across all of the Microsoft products, and are committed to helping customers get the most out of Microsoft’s portfolio of products.
“Cloud Technology is a big part of TSG’s business strategy going forward as we can see that when used appropriately it can really add value to our customers’ businesses. This news shows that the professionalism and knowledge of our staff is not only be recognised by our customers but is also at a level high enough to receive the highest accolade from the likes of Microsoft.”
David Filmer, TSG’s Training and Development Manager points out “There are 640,000 Microsoft partners worldwide, of which less than 1% are regarded highly enough to hold a gold competency, so for TSG to be awarded with seven is truly an incredible achievement.”
TSG’s seven Gold Status competencies complement their end-to-end servicing across the ITC spectrum of products. The Microsoft Solutions that they cover are; Collaboration & Content, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Midmarket Solution Provider, Datacentre, Small and Midmarket Cloud Solutions and the latest competency is in Cloud Productivity.
Microsoft’s Gold Status competencies are earned by demonstrating successful projects through customer references as well as passing technical and sales assessments.
Filmer continues “The renewal has been a genuine team effort, with colleagues from across the business developing skills, studying for and passing certifications across Microsoft products such as Dynamics CRM, Windows Server, Office 365, Windows, SQL, SharePoint and System Centre.”
The Gold Status competencies are not a permanent honour for TSG as the requirements to achieve and maintain them change every year. It is therefore necessary for TSG to constantly train and develop their people to ensure the essential skills are in place to meet the criteria.
Further efforts have been planned for the coming financial year to further build on this success. This will further support their existing competencies, and more importantly will help to ensure TSG can continue to deliver great customer service.
